Nestled among the redwoods of Kentfield, this recent Endora Builders project reflects everything we stand for: intentional design, structural excellence, and elevated Northern California living. What began as a traditional home evolved into a warm, modern sanctuary rooted in its natural surroundings — a transformation shaped through a close collaboration with designer Jason Urrutia of Urrutia Design.

With clean architectural lines, expansive windows, and a fluid indoor–outdoor connection, this remodel showcases the powerful results that come from pairing thoughtful design with precise execution.

A Collaborative Vision With Urrutia Design

This project came to life through a strong partnership between Endora Builders and Jason Urrutia, founder of Urrutia Design, one of Marin County’s most respected residential designers.

Jason’s vision emphasized openness, natural light, and a modern warmth that feels distinctly Marin. Our teams worked in lockstep — aligning architectural intent with structural realities — to ensure every line and material choice supported the overall design language.

The result: a home where the craftsmanship reinforces the architecture, and the architecture enhances the experience of living among the redwoods.

Transforming a Kentfield Home With High-End Craftsmanship

The property had incredible potential — mature trees, great light, and spatial possibilities waiting to be unlocked. Together with Urrutia Design, we reimagined the layout and enhanced the home’s connection to its surrounding environment.

Key elements of the renovation included:

A fully re-designed kitchen with a custom flip-up pass-through window that merges indoor and outdoor living
Enlarged floor-to-ceiling window systems to frame the property’s redwood grove
New skylights to elevate vertical volume and invite daylight deep into the home
A reworked floor plan with improved sightlines and a more open flow
Warm, modern finishes selected to complement the architecture
Structural upgrades throughout — ensuring long-term durability beneath the beauty

A Kitchen Built for Gathering, Living & Enjoying the Outdoors

The kitchen is the heart of this remodel — and a perfect example of Endora Builders and Urrutia Design working together seamlessly.

The flip-up window was designed to transform the kitchen into an entertaining hub, opening the countertop directly to the yard. Soft, neutral finishes, custom cabinetry, and carefully layered lighting create a space that feels elevated yet highly functional for everyday living.

Kentfield’s landscape played a major role in the design approach. Jason Urrutia’s architectural choices emphasized the surrounding trees as a living design element.
